  1. Hey thanks Hetal,

It really helps me. You both are rocking !!
Can we whip the cream with hand blender?
Once again thanks .keep posting nice recipes.

    1. Hi Niks,

The Cool Whip adds great texture and lightness to the kulfi. You can whip the heavy cream by hand and add it as well.

  2. Hi Hetal and Anuja,

thanks for ur reply. it really helped me.I tried this kulfi yesterday and it was a super hit!! i got married and moved to us recently.i am planning a birthday party for my hubby in april, and want to surprise him.please help me wd the dinner menu for 10-20 pepple.as i dont know what to do.

    1. Hi Payal,

You could use a spoon but it will take a little longer to incorporate all the ingredients (especially the whipped cream).

    1. Hi Dipti,

Yes, you can definitely half the ingredients. We always make this amount because we don’t know what to do with the remaining half amounts :). Also, it freezes well for another party or later use.

  3. Hello!

I LOVE your website and cooking demos! Awesome job!

My question is this: Often when I deep fry things like tempura of onions they lose their crispiness very fast. For example when I fry okra it remains crispy for less than an hour only! How do you retain crispiness for longer periods? For example how do you keep deep fried onions (to garnish biriyani etc) crispy for days?

    Thanks so much!

    1. Hi Tania,

It has to do with the moisture in the thing that you are frying. At first, the coating is crispy because the deep frying has evaporated all the moisture in the batter. However, whatever you are frying (e.g. okra) has its own moisture that will eventually find its way into the coating and make it soggy. Things like deep fried onions stay crispy because the coating has corn starch in it and they are fried at a very low temp for a long time to dehydrate all the moisture in them.

  4. amazing recipe… i got ready mix powder and made it earlier… your version looks easy peasy… will definitely try it… i live in UK and could not really make out what cool whip is… is there any another name for it?

  5. Guess you mean recipes….if you go to the categories (top right hand side of any page), they are all listed there. Kulfi is under Desserts.

  6. Hi Anuja and Hetal ,
I tried this out and it was real goood . I just added 2 tbsp khava ( ricota cheese) and it gave a nice feel like malai in between the kulfi bite . Thanks once again for sharing this recipe .

  8. Hi,
I tried the kulfi and it was a super hit! I also added some pista essence to give it a light green color and it was just yummy! My friends have been raving about the icecream and I think I will be driving traffic to your website!

    Thanks for the recipe!
