Rajma-Chawal is a great combination…takes me back to those lazy sunday afternoons and the nap right after the wonderful lunch of Kidney Beans and Rice. But make sure you try with some Raita or just plain yogurt on the side…

Hi Anuja and hetal
I love watching your how-to-make videos and also have tried the recipes but there is one thing I want to request: whenever you suggest cooking time in your recipes please be precise as to how many minutes instead of saying “couple of minutes”….some of us here are learning how to cook..so it will help to know the approx if not exact time to cook the dish.
Thank you so much.

Hi Harpriya,
We toatally understand where you are coming from…when possible, we do try our best to give exact time. But please keep in mind that everyone uses a different cooking medium so the best thing to do is see what the dish looks like and then determine if it is done or not. I’m so happy to have found your site. I really enjoy the recipes and you both do an excellent job on each video. What I enjoy most is that this seems to me, home style cooking and that is what I was looking for.
I became a vegetarian but most of the recipes were bland and dull. I ran across a recipe from India and became hooked ever since. At least now I have a better sense of how the dishes are to be cooked and what the finished product looks like. Keep up the great work, you are both delightful young women.
