Clothes Dryer Tip

I hate ironing clothes! When the clothes are done in the dryer, I pull them out immediately and smooth out the wrinkles and fold. Ironing ONLY when I have to (sure call me lazy!) and then there are days when I forget and the clothes have been in the dryer for hours (or days…)
This tip has become such a wonderful part of my life and takes the whole stress out. I have a washcloth in the laundry room just for this purpose! Life is good now;)

  1. Hi.. Wanted to know..if washing nd drying happens in one process…I mean… I can’t open my machine after washing..as washing along with drying is set… In such case…. How do I follow ur above suggested idea… I mean what can I do to still make my clothes less wrinkled..specially the bed sheets…. Thank u…

  2. It works since home drycleaning has a very similar method with the different twist to it is that you put up to 4 pieces of garment in a bag with a piece of drycleaning sheet which is moist and then the bag is velcro sealed and put into the dryer for about 20-30 minutes, depending on your dryer heat/temperature. Another way without the wash cloth is to use a spray bottle filled with tap water and then put the clothes in the dryer. If you don’t have a eco-friendly low-energy washer/dryer, then it’s better to use a steam iron… take a bit more time but eco-friendlier. It’s just water steaming from a steamer up-right iron.

Another method I have found that takes longer, so with patience, it works for thicker cotton clothing… dry shorter time and the garment is semi-wet, hang on a shoulder thick hanger and stretch it out a bit… leave garment on hanger to dry in an open shady place for half a day to overnight, and it works just the same and ego-friendly. Enjoy!

  4. Hi Hetal and Anuja

Do you have any tips on how to prevent bedsheets wadding or bundling up in the dryer? When this happens the sheets dont dry completely and its a waste of one dryer cycle!
