  2. Hi Hetal & Auja,

Love all your recipes and have been following it for over a couple of years now.

Do we need to boil the mushrooms first for this recipe or justjust use them direct from the pack?

    Thanks.

  3. Hiya Hetal,

I made this dish this noon and it came out yummy!! we rolled it up on tortilla, you gotta believe me, it was super yummy! I like all the veggie recipes from your website.

  4. Hi Hetal and Anuja,
Your website and your recipes are simply amazing and it definitely adds a wonderful pinch of spice to my life ;). Anyways, I had a question, I hate mushrooms with passion, and i REALLLY want to try this, any other things i can try it with? eggs? chicken? i also looked in the comments and i really dont want to try it with just onions and bell peppers so what else can i make this with besides mushrooms? Thanks! love you guys!

    1. Hi Jay,

hmmm…Mushrooms on Toast without the mushrooms? Lol!

You could use eggs and make something like a egg bhurji. Cook the pepper and onions first and then add beaten and seasoned eggs in and allow them to cook while mixing.

  5. My mom and I love the recipes that you guys post! And we love making the food too! I had a question about mushrooms. How do you select mushrooms? I always want to buy mushrooms at the store, but I have no idea how to select them. If you could tell me how to select mushrooms, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

    1. Hi Rijutha,

When buying mushrooms, pick ones that are very white with no bruises. Also, if you look under the cap, the ones that are sealed (you cannot see the black/brown ridges) are the freshest. Even if you see the ridges, its okay, but the lighter the color of the ridges, the fresher the mushroom.

  6. This has become my husband’s favorite sandwich! I put this mushroom filling along with some cheese and make toasted sandwiches. They are great to take on trips. The cheese makes it a bit more filling and helps to bind everything together.
    Thanks for the recipe girls!

  7. My husband and I used to eat cornflakes on most mornings as we were always in a hurry to get to office in the mornings. Thanks for sharing this easy and quick breakfast recipe. You have definitely added a pinch of spice to our monotonous breakfast menu :-). Thank you so much!

  9. Love this! I like to add a little protein so I spread some all natural peanut butter on the toast first. The spice combined with the nutty flavor is wonderful!!!!

    Happy Diwali!

  12. If its the filling, same thing can be done with sprouts.

    This is good.

In case if anybody interested in sandwich with good filling:
Any kind of vegetable (carrots, potato, even green squash, beans, methi, spinach)

fry onion, and add all the partially cooked vegetables above
cook green the sprouts–> green mung, red mung, masoor, peas)
and add it to the above mixture.

Spices: chilli powder, jeera powder, garam masala
    + salt

    1. Good suggestions. Thanks.
