Many times we see recipes that call for “Green Chutney” or “Dhania Chutney”, among other names. The combination of ingredients possible to get that “Green Chutney” are far and wide. Today, we show you one of our versions, a Coriander and Garlic Chutney. You can use this easy Dhania Chutney recipe in Chaats, sandwiches or as a dipping sauce.

Ingredients: (Most ingredients are to taste)

Cilantro (Coriander) – 1 large bunch, including stems
Garlic – 5 large cloves
Green Chilies – 2 to 3 or to taste
Tamarind Pulp – to taste
Salt – to taste
Sugar – pinch
Water – very little if needed to help grinding process
Oil – 1 tsp


1. Place all ingredients in a blender EXCEPT Oil and grind to a smooth paste.
2. Add Oil and grind to incorporate.
