French Toast, Sweet or Spicy?

French Toasts are just an easy and amazingly quick option for breakfasts. There are days when you want something sweet, so we have the traditional Sweet French Toast or there are days when you need that spicy kick right from the get-go and for those days we have Spicy French Toasts! Either way, we have you covered.

Cook time: 10 min
Serves: 1 egg makes 2-3

Mixture for Sweet French Toast:

Egg – 1, well beaten
Milk – 1 tbsp (thin sliced bread) or 3 tbsp (thick french bread)
Sugar – 1.5 tsp or to taste
Bread – 2-3 sliced bread or 2 thick french bread

-Mix the above well and set aside for 10-15 minutes for the Sugar to mix in with the Egg.
-Heat a skillet and drizzle a little bit of Oil and allow it to heat up on medium heat.
-Dip the Bread in the Egg mixture and place it on the skillet.
-Allow it to cook on the underside and then flip and cook.
-Cook approximately 2 minutes on medium heat on both sides.
– Remove from the skillet and serve hot.

OR

Mixture for Spicy French Toast:

Egg – 1, well beaten
Milk – 1 tbsp (thin sliced bread) or 3 tbsp (thick french bread)
Salt – to taste
Red Chili Powder – to taste
Cilantro – finely chopped
Green Chilies – finely chopped
Black Pepper Powder – to taste
Garam Masala – to taste
Roasted Cumin Powder – to taste
Bread – 2-3 sliced bread or 2 thick french bread

-Mix the above well.
-Heat a skillet and drizzle a little bit of Oil and allow it to heat up on medium heat.
-Dip the Bread in the Egg mixture and place it on the skillet.
-Allow it to cook on the underside and then flip and cook.
-Cook approximately 2 minutes on medium heat on both sides.
– Remove from the skillet and serve hot.
