Hi ladies,
Soaking the onions in water not only takes the sharpness out of the onion but soaking also helps in removing the stubborn skin off some onions. There are no more tearjerkers in my home. I do this with small onions too.

You can also cut the onions to the size you want and sprinkle little salt and cover for 10 minutes. This works out very well especially for raita

could u tell which vegetable slicer or chopper is the best? Or may be a food processor? I have tried 5 different ones and none of them was good.. I am basically looking for a simple one (cutting onions and basic veggies )as I am single and need to cook for only 1 person.

Hi missp,
We use a Black and Decker Power Pro II and it is a 5 cup Food Processor. It was not very expensive and is doing it’s job well. We would not suggest anything smaller or you might be limited. We use it for slicing, chopping, shredding and making dough…over all a good investment.
Hope that helps.

Hi… I have been wondering…how to reuse these zip lock bags…like I see in many of ur videos… U people use zip locks…are they always new? After once using it..I felt like it had taken up the smell of item stored in it… So I ended up washing it.. But it never feels as fresh and clean as new… Please if could share any idea of how to reuse them as new? Or how to clean them for next use? Awaiting your reply… Thank you..
