So some of the pressing questions are now taken care of! In this Tip Tuesday session we have explained a few but very important tips about Eggs. Enjoy your eggs and as always stay healthy.
I have come across the Boiled Egg yolk outer surface becoming dark in color if kept in the refrigerated for couple of days…Is there any ways i can prevent it
The dark ring on the yolk comes from over boiling the eggs. If you want to prevent the dark green/gray color, you can follow these steps:
1. Place eggs in a pot (single layer)
2. Cover them entirely with water.
3. Bring the water to a rolling boil.
4. Turn off the stove, cover the pot and let the eggs sit for about 15 minutes.
5. Run cold water over the eggs and peel them or store them in the fridge.
Thanks a ton for the great website. Especially for those who are in abroad. How many days can we store the boiled eggs in the fridge with and without shell on?

Hi Srujana,
The consensus about hard boiled eggs (peeled or not) is about 1 week in the refrigerator.
