Steaks and Portobello Mushrooms on the Barbeque (with the guys)

The “guys” decided that they should teach us on how we should work on our Show Me The Curry videos! What better way to tell us than “show” us how it’s supposed to be done! Hetal and I sat back and watched the drama and the action unfold…and we both have to admit that they did a really good job πŸ™‚ Having said that, don’t worry, we are not changing our style!
Enjoy this video and learn a trick or two about grilling and summer parties πŸ™‚ What we loved the best, we got a great meal out of it πŸ˜‰

  1. Look the guys were only having some fun, we should take it with a pinch of salt & laugh. They are no good at cooking , not everyone is gifted !!!!!

  2. I always wanted you guys to come up with a barbeque recipe.. But guess this video was even better than what I expected.. ‘THE guys’ did an amazing job and their constant humour and banter was an added bonus..

Way to go.. Absolutely loved it!!!!

  3. This was such an amazing video– hilarious!! My sister and I were ROFLing! We both loved the guys! We love you gals too
    : )
lol.. bob the octopus and COLEslaw lol!

  4. Hi Didis πŸ˜€
“if you dont get greek yogurt then you “hang it” i dont know, whatever that means” hahahahaha…. what an awesome video… i loved how the guys looked all chilled out and ready to go. i am much younger than u guys to say this, but
really, God bless u and your families πŸ™‚

  5. Hi Hetal and Anuja

Nice video … forget all those nasty comments …
    What’s life without fun ….
gonna try this watermelon martini .. right now … with the vodka .. oops … why not ?? “Delicious” … ha ha

  6. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the video, your husbands did a great job! The presentation was hilarious, and the recipes awesome! Looking forward to more videos from them!

Really sorry that you have to put up with offending people who prefer to criticize rather than appreciate!

  7. Hi Hetal & Anuja,

This is one great video. I jus loved everything bout it! It’s great to watch men doing the cooking stuff. It’s cool, fun and they’ve got the sytle! I’ll surely try this receipe πŸ™‚

  8. hi hetal n anuja,
this is a good video. I enjoyed every bit of it. ur husbands seem to be as good as u two.both with good sense of humour too.It was good to watch them (not hetal and not anuja hahaha) for a change.

  9. Oh! dear me …husbands ?? they aren’t that bad..if someone told them to speak at a slower rate..we could all understand, but then who says men are perfect .

  10. Please do not take this as an insult, I always watch both of you & I must admit, you do your cooking & presentation with grace & style.Perfect.
Bringing both your hubands was not a good idea, they are both very unprofessional & did no justice to your lovely site, this I am writing after a lot of thought, I think your husbands will understand what I am saying & not get offended.

  11. Hi H&A,

I really do wish that guys would have done separate videos for vegetarians and separate for non-vegetarians. I wanted to watch the whole video, but it’s too tough for me to watch steak being cooked. Please keep this in mind, when you do next videos, I seriously can’t watch non-veg stuff, and because of that can’t watch even veggie stuff you cook along with that.

But I watched bits here and there, and it was really lovely to watch men at work! πŸ™‚ as someone said, they really are your husbands. LOL. I loved watching them , but for learning new recipes, I prefer you two πŸ™‚

  12. Hi Anuja and Hetal,
What a stroke of genius to have your husbands do a show!!! It was cute, heart warming and hilarious!! Loved it! As much as I love both of you on video, it was cute to change it up a bit. Perhaps you might put the kiddies on sometime (minus sharp knives and flames..LOL)Thanks again for a great video and recipes…especially the watermelon martini!

  13. It was a wonderful effort and everyone in my family enjoyed it. I loved the way when they said

    – cooooooooolslaw ( my niece has started talking that way :):) )

    – DELICIOUS

    – how our wives like COLOR

    – If its not thick, you have to hang it or whatever it means :):):) ultimate !

    – We will use our hands coz we are men……lol

Trust me, the recipe were good and though i dont watch non-veg stuff, I did watch both of them working with steak….

Thanks once again for entertaining us and I am gonna have my watermelon martini….aah, what a treat !

Thanks once again for entertaining us.

    Cheers
    – Urvi

  14. Hey hey πŸ™‚ Loooooved it !!! Had such a huge grin on my face all through the video … and we definitely see some strong wife-influence there… Lol πŸ˜€ The “hanging the yoghurt” bit was the best …

  15. the guys are funny and handled the camera really well. And Anuja’s husband seems like a pro at grilling. Good sense of humour. Your friendship shines thru in your guys as well.

  16. The guys were hilarious!! Great idea to bring them on, and wonderfully executed! I honestly cannot think of one thing I did not like in this video πŸ™‚

  17. Srikant, Ram,

Thoroughly enjoyed the video – besides giving the recipes, it was very entertaining – very very good job, all the best to you always!!!!

    Alki

  18. To : Anonymous
Look please do not give this kind of stupid comments – if you didn’t like it , scoot then. do your own show. Please try to appreciate the effort made and they are just sharing information.

  19. I thoroughly enjoyed the video – the guys were great , I like thier sense of humour and i tried the recipe – it was good . It was simple and really liked the casual way they persented the video.
    Great job !!

  20. hehehe
could not help laughing..I generally don’t watch ur non vegetarin videos…but saw this one….
    They really are ur husbands…
    nice work done….
    u gals are lucky hmmm!!!

  21. Did not like this at all. I am a new but big fan of you cooking videos and have made good impresssion lately on all my frnds. But I hate to see personal videos. I do think hat you both can get to higher platform but this will never help.

    1. I kind of agree with you. I don’t mind personal videos but I didn’t find it that entertaining and it was a bit too long.
I like H&A videos much better. They are well presented and fun to watch too.
Anyway, once in a while such videos are okay. May be you should have kept it a bit short.

      1. Hi R,
        Point noted πŸ™‚
We understand the loyalty that folks have and are very touched by it but this video was done with not only fun in mind but also to give a few recipes (this one had 3 to be exact) and like someone said…”3 recipes in 1 video, they are more efficient” πŸ˜‰

        1. Anuja,
No problem. Anyway, I am a vegetarian who does not drink alcohol. That might have been the reason I didn’t enjoy this particular video so much.

Looks like majority of your viewers enjoyed and majority wins!

          Have fun!

  22. Does anyone know if there is there any indian-western fusion styled BBQ recipe that those living here in the US make? I’d love to try something like that but could not find any when googled. πŸ™

  23. The audio is a little unclear in the middle, but trust me – They were just great ! Guys are good in whatever little bit they do around in the kitchen. With BBQ I always call my husband the Head of the Department ! πŸ™‚

I liked the way they altered “adding a pinch of spice to your life”..LOL

Another thing H&A, you should remove the option of Anonymous ppl commenting. If ppl mean to give constructive criticism they should identify themselves !

  24. Hi hetal & anuja
I am big fan of yours. I showed this video to my husband and he was laughing like anything, especially whenever ‘Delicious’ will come :). He watched the video twice. And guess what he liked, scotch and martini. In short we enjoyed the video. Thanks. I am gonna try BBQ mushrooms.

    1. they mean hand the yogurt to release all the water/moisture. This way the yogurt is thick b/c greek yogurt is much thicker then regular yogurt.

  25. Eeeks! look at him mixing the coleslaw like kneading chapathi dough:) and they seemed more interested in downing their drinks hyuk, hyuk! men!! I wish this whole video was made with the girls version too:))

Hetal/anuja : can you post a recipe for toffee apples? i only read them in books and watched the kids in the movie mary poppins eating it and would love to make it myself!

  26. Good job..Was really missing the Anuja and Hetal all through the video..but it was great to see the Awesome foursome at the last..

  27. My wife taught me…your wife taught me…obviously some heavy wife-influence there, with some scotch on the side!!!! Thoroughly enjoyed it – laughed through the whole thing!!! Thanks for sharing. And glad they washed their hands!!!!

  28. next time make sure that the man dont do any cooking because we dont understand a single word of englishthey was talking thank you

      1. my englishis much betterthan your keep your X mouth shut as i was not taking about your husband if you have any thing going betwwen you and him that i am sorry

        1. very very disrespectfull comment !

we all need to be aware that whole world is watching this.

please keep your comments to a maturity level and positive. Its very childish to give such comments online for someone !

      2. For me itÒ€ℒs also not much understandable. I am not sure that whether hetal & anuja have organized this show for general people or just for ABCDs.

        1. Hi,

I ( and guess many) dont think that this video is up for ABCD’s. If you cant appreciate someones efforts, request you not to criticize it. If the video was so bad or not understandable, you should have not wasted some 15 odd mins of your time watching the video and couple of others commenting on video, hetal, anuja, general people, ABCDs and whatever……!!! Let peace prevails !!! Give respect and get respect ..God bless all !

        2. @Urvi: First, I have represented my views to Hetal/Anuja. So, hope you understand what I meant to say. Second, how can you decide which people have seen the video till what time? Third, When you create your own website and got such a comment than reply to others.

In short form: GO TO HELL.

        3. @Claudia,

I did understand what you said but thanks for everything. In short, I dont want to go where you live.

    1. I can understand them just fine. They speak a bit fast, if they slow down it would help. Listen to it again; see if that is any easier.

Your reply is a bit rude, and your use of grammar is inaccurate.

      1. Hello All,

We make videos for all and we realize that not all videos are for everyone. Live and let live πŸ™‚

As some one very wisely said “please keep your comments to a maturity level and positive…”

All constructive feedback is appreciated – good or bad!
        Cheers to all πŸ™‚

        1. Very rightly said Anuja. I often felt the same. Anyways, I liked the idea of wrapping the lemon to avoid getting the seeds:-). Overall the efforts by the guys were wonderful and glad to know you guys can sit and relax when they bbq :-)).

          Cheers.
