   Thank you Hetal for taking us on a very yummy trip with you to poland. I was going to skip it – thinking most of the dishes might be non veg… but when I saw you munch a lot of those yummy ones… stayed on and watched the whole video.. Hope you enjoyed your trip!

   Ofcourse we loved it. I must appreciate the fact that how much you love what you are doing and is so passionate about it. Aah..just love it :)

   I was going thru some recent comments posted for recent recipes and feel like conveying this…There are enough of beautiful things & beautiful people around us; if we choose to look through with eyes wide open with little bit of kindness, one will always find good things to thank for than to point out negative things that may hurt someone and eventually one’s ownself.

   Hetal, you have warmed my heart beyond words. The recipes, beautiful smiles of you & Anuja compel us to come back to you again and again. Just so you know, you two make a difference in many lives.

   With Boruvka! In my language it’s ‘Borovnica’ (Borovnitsa)
   I thnik name comes for ‘Pine berry’ Bor = Pine!

   I think the name “borówka” comes from “bór”, which means “forest” in Polish.

   Yup, Polish and Serbian are a bit different! But ”Bor” in Serbian means Pine, and in Serbia, blueberry grows naturally on Kopaonik mountain in it’s beautifull pine forests.

   Hetal, After watching part of this video, I am very sure that if I ever go to Poland, I will be carrying some MTR packets with me :->)) Being a vegetarian who does not like cheese and mushrooms, I guess my choice there will be very limited! Anyway, thanks for the video.

    Great video,
    I live just in the country near Poland. I wonder if you’ll ever visit Czech Republic.
    Watching the video I realized that not all the meals you were served were actually Polish. The pierogy ruskye are Russian “pelmenie” and the borscz is also Russian. But that’s the story of central Europe lol
    I’ll be looking forward to seeing more videos from your travels;-)

    I can’t agree with you. Ruskie doesn’t mean Russian (it would be rosyjskie). This is not a Russian dish. And barszcz from the video is Polish also and served with small dumplings stuffed with mushrooms is one of our dishes at Christmas Eve.
    I can only add, that Polish cuisine is very similar to Ukrainian (it’s because of the history).

    WOW That’s Amazing!
    I come from Poland! I live in Gdańsk, which is north Poland by the Baltic Sea.
    I’ve been to Kraków couple of years ago, and I liked it very much. Poland is a beautiful country with lots of wild life and many historical monuments.

    I’m so happy that you liked polish food;-)

    “Cheat Sheet” is a term used when one is taking an exam – a small piece of paper with the answers written on it from which you can “cheat”. I had a “cheat sheet” with me with names of different foods (and what they were) I wanted to try. The Polish language is not an easy language for non-Polish (or Slavic) people and I knew that I would have a hard time reading the menus.

    Would you believe that we cooked pierogi on Sunday?!! My husband and I went over to a Polish friend’s house and spent three and a half hours making pierogi! We had a stuffing of potato, bacon, onions, and paneer. It was really deeelicious! Reminded me, so much, of the sweet “neorios” we make in Goa for Christmas

    At the video (time 08:17) you write blueberries, original is Pierogi z jagodami – there is a mistake. Right translation is: Dumplings with strawberry.

    The Pierogi z Jagodami I had were definitely blueberries. I think the correct translation for strawberry is “truskawki”. We’re so glad you are enjoying SMTC. Thanks for the support!

    I love your videos…so professional….so organized….I’m in awe about the way you both present it.
    I didn’t know that Poland has so many vegetarian dishes. Are you a vegetarian Hetal ? I love to travel but food is always a problem as I’m vegetarian.
