Basic ingredients for garam masala are cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and bay leaves.  Each different brand you purchase will have these plus a host of other ingredients mixed in (black peppercorns, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, mace, etc).  Garam masala also differs from region to region.  I would suggest trying a couple of different brands to see which one you prefer...after all, your taste matters most.</description>
