		<description>Happy New Year to you too Chetna!  Some people do say that (I know Jains use hing as a substitute for garlic) but in my opinion, they taste nothing alike.  Again, its only my opinion.  I have never tried hing in hummus but that&#039;s not to say that it won&#039;t taste good.  Also, hing is usually added to hot oil to get rid of the raw pungent taste.  You would be adding it raw here.  I would take out a small portion of hummus and add just a bit of hing to see if you like it before adding it to the whole batch.  Good luck!</description>
