Ingredients:
Rice - 1cup
Toor Daal - 1/2 cup
Tomato - 1 (medium)
Onion - 1 (big)
Garlic - 5 to 6
Red Chilli - 2 to 3 flakes
Clove - 2
Cinnamon stick - 1
Mint Leaves - 1/4 cup
Corriander Leaves 1/4 cup
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Oil - 4 tbsp
Salt
Water - 3 cups
Method:
1. Soak Rice and Dhal together for 2 hrs.
2. In a pressure cooker pour Oil and heat up.
3. Fry Cloves, Cinnnamon Stick, Red Chilli, Garlic, Onion, Tomato, Mint and Turmeric.
4. Mix well and cook till the oil seperates.
5. Now add water and allow it to come to a boil.
6. Once it comes to a boil, add in Rice, Daal and Salt to it.
7. Finally add in the Corriander leaves.
8. Close the lid cook for 10 mins.
9..Before serving add ghee.
Tip:
This Toor Daal Rice is very tasty with brinjal and potato fry, papad and pickles.

Hi.. Priya!!!!! I hope this is a very special south indian dish and it is named as “pabbiyam” Am I Right?. Ok thanks for the Recipe.
